Navigating the College Park MARTA Station

Next to the Atlanta airport, most MARTA riders have been through the College Park station on the train, even if not physically been in or outside the station. The station itself is small, above-ground and features two large parking lots. A lower level provides access to all northbound and southbound trains and brings passengers to one concourse lobby area at street level with the following two exits:

Main Street
The Main Street exit provides access to one of the two free daily parking lots of the station, off of Main Street. A stoplight in front of the station allows pedestrians to cross over a freight railway to reach the historic area with shops and restaurants. This is also the exit for reaching the only area hotel, Hotel Indigo, which is just around the corner off of Harvard Avenue.

Buses/Taxi Exit
Opposite of the Main Street exit is an exit pointing to the bus bay and taxi pick-up area (call in advance for a taxi). In addition, this exit leads to a second large, free parking lot for daily use and a long-term parking garage. Riders can also use this exit for access to the MARTA police precinct and the Federal Aviation Administration building. For those who like planes, there is also a panoramic view of the Atlanta airport and the ability to see dual plane take-offs on Atlanta's parallel runways.

Use caution around the station, as it is not the safest area, though you can typically see a lot of police patrol on the streets.
