Throughout the weekend, the Presidential Inauguration Committee (PIC) will provide up-to-date information through their Twitter account, @obamainaugural. The Secret Service will also be providing important information through their Twitter account, @SecretService.

The Secret Service will be announcing road closures, travel alerts and other important Inaugural details on Twitter.

The Secret Service has released information related to security procedures that will be implemented starting this weekend. Please click HERE to read the information provided by the Secret Service, including road closures, security screenings, prohibited items, and cold weather preparedness.

The PIC is also providing a helpful map (click here) that indicates how individuals can get to swearing-in ceremony, Inaugural Parade, and Inaugural Balls. The map provided gives readers a clear understanding of how to maneuver their way through the city.

Emergency alerts and public notifications regarding the Inauguration will be available via text messaging. To receive these messages, text the word "INAUGURATION" to 888777. Text messaging fees may apply according to your cellular plan.
