Navajo tribe upset over racist 'Mike and Molly' joke

Political correctness is likely to be a huge downfall for this country after TMZ reports on March 3 that the Navajo Indians in Arizona want an apology from CBS about a racist joke made on last week's show that infers that all Native Americans are alcoholics.

On the show, Mike's captain wants to marry Mike's Archey Bunker type mother and whisk her away to Arizona to live in his condo so she won't complain about the cold and how much she hates the snow. When Molly asks her about the move, she makes the crack that she wouldn't ever move to Arizona because it's nothing more than a furnace full of drunk Indians.

Now, the tribe is calling for a public apology for making light of the people that live there and labeling them all in a racist manor. While the character that delivered the joke hates everyone and everything, it was still only meant as a joke. It seems that in today's age of political correctness, you can't even tell a joke no matter how true, unlikely or otherwise without offending someone.

What do you think of the joke? Do you think it was spot on or is it going too far?
