With nearly 3,000 projects, French Press Knits’ felted slipper pattern is one of the top 20 most popular patterns on Ravelry.
The pattern requires knitting with three strands of yarn, which allows the finished, felted product to be very durable. However, in order to knit these adorable and popular slippers, you either need three separate skeins of yarn or you need to transform one or two skeins into three.
Thanks to an online video by Lucy Neatby, French Press Knits’ slippers are now even easier to knit. The video teaches knitters an interesting technique known as Navajo Knitting. This method eliminates the need to separate one or two skeins of yarn into three or more.
Navajo Knitting is a simple technique that takes one strand of yarn and turns it into three. Through the simple combination of a slip knot and a single crochet chain, Navajo Knitting increases the thickness of your knitting.
The practice of Navajo Knitting is definitely a useful skill to add to your knitting technique arsenal.

Wow! I'm going to have to try this technique, thanks so much for sharing!
those are adorable shoes!
you can make them and sell them on etsy!
Pam, I don't think I'm allowed to use someone else's pattern for my own personal gain, but if you're willing to supply me with the yarn for it, I'm willing to knit you a pair --- or you can casually let me know your shoe size and I can knit you a pair as a Christmas gift!
i would like a pair too!
Very cute, and super handy tip!
