"I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade... And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party." ~Ron White
The Center for Philosophical Naturalism is having a social for naturalistic thinkers on Wed. Dec 4. If you are like-minded and would like to join us, click here for all the event details:
The usual agenda is to bring some food along to share with others, then join in a random discussion of what you are interested in. Sometimes we also play some games or watch some short YouTube videos that members would like to share.
The Center for Philosophical Naturalism is a group that would like to promote naturalistic thinking, as an alternative to supernatural and superstitious thinking. Some people attend church because they like the fellowship, but they really don't believe in any of the supernatural doctrines. This is meant as an alternative to church; a place where you can be yourself, and not be afraid to express your doubts and opinions.
Polls show that there's an ever increasing amount of people that are leaving churches and belief in the supernatural. If you are one of these people looking for a group of like-minded people, come to a social for a visit and see if you like it. We also have a program for kids on Sunday mornings, twice per month.
Some of our members are former Christians, and were very active in Christian ministry. They are now atheists and agnostics. Some of our members are life-long atheists/agnostics. One member grew-up in the Hindu-dominated culture of India. As you can see, we have a diverse range of backgrounds, but we have all come to the same conclusion: the natural world is all there is.
