Locally based Naturally Me Natural Girls Rock® will be hosting "Natural Is....The FREEDOM to be YOU!" in Atlanta on January 14, 2012. The even will take place at 595 North Events Venue and Lounge located in the Midtown area of downtown Atlanta.
According to Naturally Me, "This is not a traditional meet up...Its a production!" There will be elements of natural hair, body (fitness instruction), skin education, throughout the day.
Attendees will have the opportunity to shop from hand-picked vendors, there will be free hair consultations and live "big chops", participate in a Q&A session with men concerning their opinion of natural hair, enjoy music and entertainment by spoken word artists and Sha Stimula who will perform "Wake up and Go".
Education sessions will include, The ABC's of Natural Hair (Instructor: Koils by Nature - Pam). How to define YOUR Curl Pattern (Instructor: Urban Bella - Keneesha), How to make YOUR skin glow (Instructor: Pura Body Naturals - Santeyonne), Things I Know For Sure (Aevin Dugas), Fitness in the African-American Community (Lance Negron), Scarf wrapping Techniques for Hair, and more.
YouTube Vloggers, Who is Sugar and Vcharles will be hosts of the event. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Aevin Dugas – Guinness World Record Holder for the Largest Natural Afro.
