Asaze Natural Hair will be hosting the 8th Annual Nappy-Oke natural hair and karaoke show.
Nappy-Oke is where natural hair meets karaoke, and it’s an event that will be fun for the entire family.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 12 – 7 pm at the Show Place Arena, located on 14900 Pennsylvania, Avenue in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
Tickets for the Nappy-Oke event are $10 in advance for adults and $5 for children (more at the door). See ticket purchase information below.
Nappy-Oke will be hosted by MC Quest with music by DJ Duke. Along with karaoke, Nappy-Oke attendees will enjoy food, fun, networking, fashion as well as a hair show.
There will be door prizes, giveaways, games and raffles during the event and the first 100-plus attendees will receive swag bags. Sponsors include Curls.biz, Nene's Secret, Bobeam Natural Products, Decalo Weight Loss and more.
There will also be a question and answer panel, where attendees will have the opportunity to get hair questions and concerns addressed.
All attendees are encouraged to participate in the karaoke contest as well as shop until they drop.
There will be various vendors from hair products to clothing present at the event as well as live entertainment.
Asaze Natural Hair also hosts the DC Annual Love, Locs and Natural Hair Expo which is conducted each year on the third Saturday in April.
Tempie Satcher-Ducosin, the CEO of Asaze and lady behind the expo, is a native Washingtonian and natural hair educator who has dedicated her life to inspiring others about the benefits of natural living.
