The Northwest Ohio Natural Hair & Beauty returns in Toledo with title sponsors Mixed Chicks and Keracare! This annual event welcomes hundreds of women, men and children from around Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and other locations. The large exhibit hall at the New Life Center located in central Toledo, is an open space filled with vendors, laughter, and music. Guests will be able to shop for products with the eco friendly consumer in mind. From natural soaps and lotions to cosmetics and apparel, there will be something for everyone to take home with them.
The Expo brings together the best in local crafters, product makers, clothing designers and small business owners. While the expo focuses on the health benefits and versatility of natural, chemical free hair, there are workshops that are geared for the whole person to learn and grow in knowledge.
Workshops being offered this year include educating natural hair culturists and clients on efficient hair care by Shelia Everette Hale, owner of Everette's Natural Hair & Braidiing School in Detroit, Michigan. With over 35 years experience in natural hair care, Ms. Hale is dedicated to not only training natural hair professionals, but she takes care to educate clients on natural hair care so they can manage their styles at home.
From Phoenix, Arizona, the owner of AZA Beauty Supply Store & Certified wholistic health coach, Natyshca Pickett will be conducting a workshop sharing her experience in the Black beauty supply industry as well as the benefits of clean eating and health habits for everyone. Among other workshops, there will be a fitness circle, skincare clinic, couponing class and kids natural hair workshop.
