Last night, Mar. 6, a group of talented creators – visual artists, musicians, fashion designers, jewelry artists, photographers and more – gathered at the District 30 club in downtown Sacramento to display their talents, network with like-minded individuals, and socialize.
The event which began in the early evening with club goers filing in to get a peek of the RAW natural born artists carried on into the wee hours of the morning. The 21 and over crowd was very diverse, and although the majority of viewers were from 21 to 35, a number of silver haired couples admired the art - the older men not missing a chance to steal a glance at the younger ladies.
Master of ceremonies, April Potter, kept the showcase moving at just the right pace. Potter, a fitting choice for MC, is an artist herself – actress, comedian, hostess of Sacramento’s monthly RAW art exhibits; she studied fashion merchandising and from the looks of her, knows how to put it all together for a fantastic look.
From her mesmerizing hazel eyes to her perfectly pedicured toes, April, also known as "Pirl," set the perfect stage for the event.
The March display of talent was titled “Raw Generations” and featured 16 artists.
Showcase director Greg Gioia invites artists to submit their works for inclusion in upcoming RAW Art events . Gioia's motto -“Creativity and justice for all!”
