Natsume announces ‘Mystic Chronicles’ for PSP (Photos)

Yesterday, family-oriented video game publisher Natsume, Inc. announced that they will be bringing the retro-style RPG, “Mystic Chronicles”, to the Sony PSP in North America this Summer.

Developed by Kemco, “Mystic Chronicles” features retro-style graphics, story-driven quests and a turn-based battle system for a classic RPG feel that should appeal to fans of the genre. The story follows Lux, a young man who is adopted by a small village and while beginning his training to join the Guardians Guild, a society charged with dealing with the world’s troublemakers, encounters a young girl. The chance encounter sets in motion events that lead Lux on a quest that is far more important than just dealing with troublemakers.

No official release date has been given for “Mystic Chronicles” but Natsume did reveal that the game would be available for the PSP in the Summer of 2013. You can find screenshots from the game in the slideshow up top.
