Native Plant Garden Design Course Begins This Weekend in Sun Valley

Just because you live in LA, doesn't mean you can't have your own garden. Beginning this weekend, a course in Native Plant Garden Design begins at the Theodore Payne Foundation Education Center in Sun Valley. This three-part course runs on January 7, January 21 and February 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Native Plant Garden Design course will provide you with a solid foundation on how to design your own sustainable garden based upon patterns in nature. You will walk away from the course with a base/plot plan, knowledge of hardscape materials, irrigation, soils and more.

In preparation for the course, you'll be asked to complete an initial questionnaire and bring photos of your garden site, as well as a sample of your garden site's soil to the first class.

Cost is $195 for members, $240 for nonmembers, $255 for member couples and $315 for non-member couples. Call (818) 768-1802 to reserve your spot in the class.
