At Native Foods Café in Aliso Viejo, Earth Day is celebrated for two days every month. During these two days, called Native Community Days, a portion of the restaurant’s profits are donated to community groups that promote a healthier, more compassionate planet.
“Native Community Days is our way of giving back to our local community, focusing on animal rescue groups, environmental protection groups, and children’s healthy eating and educational programs,” said Holladay Allen, marketing and media coordinator for Native Foods Cafe.
This month’s beneficiaries were Farm Sanctuary in Acton, California on January 8, and Savannah’s Organic Ranch in Aliso Viejo on January 9. “Not only are we donating a portion of sales to these groups, but also encouraging the community to get involved and volunteer as well,” said Allen.
At Native Foods Café, the entire menu is 100% plant-based. This fast-casual vegan restaurant aims to please vegans and non-vegans with its fresh, chef-crafted cuisine. On Native Community Days, the café offers a free dessert with the purchase of an entrée, a side and a Native drink.
