MAKE 2014 A YEAR OF HOPE FOR NATIVE AMERICAN YOUTHS -- Windcatcher Entertainment, Santa Clarita, CA and Nandar Entertainment, Los Angeles, CA, have developed a life-changing film internship program to reach out to Native American youths (age 18-27) across the United States. They are looking for interns who have a passion for moviemaking and want to start on the right foot with their careers.

There are three projects open for the program at this time. Each of them are associated with Sacajawea’s story: Windcatcher: The Story of Sacajawea (feature film); JOURNEY of a Windcatcher (documentary); and Walkin’ It Out (music video).

"You can give something great to Native youths by providing them an opportunity they would not otherwise have open to them. You can make dreams happen!" Whispering Raven, Internship Director, Producer and Spirit Guide for the Sacajawea projects.

Check it out on BackLot Film Internships

The program will be headed up by an A-list production team including, among others, Harvey Lowry, (Apocolypto, Pirates of the Caribbean), director of the feature film, Windcatcher: The Story of Sacajawea; Nancy Criss (A Horse for Summer), director of this documentary, JOURNEY of a Windcatcher; and the director and producers of the music video, Walkin’ It Out. These interns will be able to select training from nearly every aspect of moviemaking, taught by professionals.

At least 40 interns interested in the film industry will be selected. They will have an opportunity to:

1) Learn through on-set training.
2) Film segments of their production.
3) Be listed on the film's production team.
4) Earn a film credit.
5) Attend special events associated with their production.
6) Have roundtrip airfare and travel provided
7) Have room and board provided.

There are two ways you can get involved:
1) If you know a talented Native youth who wants a film career, please have them request an application at:

2) Bring HOPE to lives and make DREAMS a reality this year by pledging your support for an intern at:
