In Native American culture, storytelling is only permitted in winter months after the crops are harvested and stored. In honor of that tradition, the “Storytelling & Song” program returns to Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa for its sixth year on November 17, 2011.
Storytellers from the Gila River Indian Community tell stories of ancient Pima and Maricopa legends, along with personal stories about growing up on the surrounding Tribal Lands. The storytellers also share traditional songs during the hour-long presentation. Storytelling & Song at Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa will be Thursday through Saturday from 6 – 7 p.m. November 17, 2011 through January 2, 2012. Beginning January 3, 2012, the program will be from 6 – 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The program concludes on the last day of winter in March 2012.
“Storytelling & Song” is open and complimentary to all Resort guests and Resort restaurant guests. The event is held at the outdoor fire pit.
