Nationally ranked Lobos continue conference play

The UNM Men’s Basketball Team, under Coach Steve Alford has started 2013 as the 15th ranked team in the AP Polls and currently has a 16-2 record in Mountain West Conference play. Comcast customers can watch the Lobos play in upcoming games all the way up until the Mountain West Conference Tournament.

Over the next three weeks, the Lobos have dominated opponents like Colorado State, Boise State and UNLV, and will play Mountain West opponents like Fresno State and Air Force at The Pit. Saturday, January 26, the Lobos play San Diego State Aztecs at San Diego. You can watch the game at 2PM MST on Albuquerque Comcast channel 259, NBC Sports.

Lobo fans now have the luxury of viewing the games while the Lobos play out of state, or if they cannot make it to home games. Comcast will carry the Feb 6 game against Air Force and the Feb. 16 game against Boise State on local station My50-TV on Comcast channel 12.

UNM has also partnered with Root Sports, a Comcast featured channel on Channel 261, to broadcast select Lobo games as they play on the road, including the Lobos versus Wyoming in Laramie on Jan. 30.

My50-TV and Root Sports plan on broadcasting more Lobo basketball games in the future to bring coverage not only to the city of Albuquerque, but also the entire state of New Mexico.

The nationally ranked lobos will continue to play on primetime television networks as Conference play progresses.
