Thursday, the National Weather Service warned that a massive winter storm is headed to New England and up to 2-feet of snow is expected; some weather forecasters are predicting that this will be a very dangerous storm for Massachusetts through Maine.
The storm will begin Friday morning and continue through Saturday, with the heaviest amount falling Friday night and early Saturday. The storm will travel from New England and upstate New York, according to the National Weather Service. Blizzard watches are already in effect for certain areas of Massachusetts and Rhode Island and high winds are expected. Coastal flooding watches are in effect in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Long Island. The National Weather Service also warned of the effects from the storm, including sleet, hale, etc.
High winds up to 35 mph are also expected in New England during the winter storm.
This winter, there hasn’t been a lot of snow in the sky resorts and many employees are looking forward to the amount of snow they may get during this winter storm.
