National TV not covering Tulsa Fairmont Terrace shooting

The Tulsa Fairmont Terrace shooting which happened approximately 12:00 p.m. on Mon. Jan. 7, 2013 has so far not been covered by the national TV news.

Before the Sandy Hook shooting, the Clackamas Town Center shooting in Oregon was widely covered. It only involved the death of two people which is way low for body count journalism. The Tulsa Fairmont Terrace shooting had four young women victims.

There are a few differences however. One of which is that the Tulsa Fairmont Terrace shooting happened after Sandy Hook so gun control examples are no longer necessary.

Another is that Fairmont Terrace is section 8 housing and when poor people die in high crime areas it is regarded as NHI “No Human Involved”.

The third aspect is that at least some of the victims were not immediately known to be pretty blond young women. The two now known young pretty blondes are Rebeika Powell born Oct. 24, 1989 and Kayetie Powell Melchor also born Oct. 24, 1989. The other victims are Misty Nunley born Feb. 6, 1979 and Julie Jackson born Dec. 17, 1957.

An interesting aspect not covered is that Rebeika Powell's son Tallynn who was born Sept. 26, 2009 was at the scene and was not killed.

Another aspect is that Chane Powell who was born July 14, 1983 died at age 20 on Dec 16, 2003. Charon and Larry Powell had three children who died at around the same ages. Charon also has a lot of drug convictions so that might trump being blond.
