National Soup Month specials in Chicago (Video)

I love me some soup from snooty lobster bisque to peasant sauerkraut. January is the time to slurp soup, too, not just because of the chilly weather but because it's relatively cheap and soup takes up a ton of valuable real estate in your belly, preventing you from filling it with junk. Hello, New Year resolutions and a big bowl of soup!

All through January, Chicago q warms up with house-smoked Kobe Chili, an award winning chili from chef/partner Lee Ann Whippen. A blend of Kobe brisket, Italian sausage and ground beef with cornbread croutons and sour cream, this is a heartier style chili for $10.25.
