Some call rum the "forgotten liquor," but you would be hard pressed to find those celebrating "National Rum Day" on Friday, August 16 not enjoying rum and the rich history it possesses.
The truth is, rum is seeing a resurgence here in the United States.
The Bacardi family has also played a big part in Cuba's fight for independence.
