National Parks are free this weekend!

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, National Parks around the country are waiving admission fees on January 14th through 16th.

You can view the list of free entrance day parks by state here.  Many national parks are free year-round, too.

In Minnesota, Pipestone National Monument in Southwest Minnesota is free for the weekend.

The Bureau of Land Management, the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the US Forest Service are also waiving admission fees for their sites, so be sure to check their offerings as well.

This is a great opportunity to get out with the family and hike or even snowshoe (now that we're finally getting a little snow!).  Since our cold weather has returned too, be sure to bundle up!
