The first National Novel Writing Month (known as NaNoWriMo), took place in the San Francisco Bay Area in July 1999. At that time, twenty-one Bay area residents with the desire to become noteworthy novelist participated in this event.
Today, National Novel Writing Month has been in existence for the last 15-years, but it’s still not a familiar annual event amongst people with the desire to write novels.
Everyone has a story is not an adage – it is a truth!
The fact that many people have the desire, but lacks the inspiration to write-down their stories (fiction or reality) is a disservice to family members and the world.
NaNoWriMo makes it easy for you to push yourself to write your first, second, third, or beyond novel within 30-days (Nov. 1-30, 2013). The driving force behind this “writing” craziness is – you’re not doing it alone; other writers are doing it too, nationwide. You can even connect with them on various forums from your FREE membership page.
Further, writers in various areas are hosting neighborhood write-ins at libraries, hot shops, panera bread and restaurants for your convenience, and personal interaction with other writers. Join and check the forum to locate a write-in near you.
