National Men's 70 and 75 Indoor Championships names top seeds

Richard Johnson of Ballwin, Mo., and Lester Sack of New Orleans have been named the No. 1 seeds respectively in the United States Tennis Association National Men’s 70 and 75 Indoor Championships, which will be held March 17-23 at the Downtown Club at the Met, 340 W. Dallas.

This is the twelfth year the event, which has attracted 93 players this year, has been held in Houston and the ninth year at the Met. Viewing is free to the public.

Californians Corley Dean of Aliso Viejo and Stewart Michael of Palm Desert are the top seeds in the 70 doubles, and Californians Henry Leichfried of Laguna Woods and George Sarantos of Rancho Mirage are No. 1 in the 75 doubles.

Finals of the events are Friday and Saturday. Keith Christman is tournament director.
