National Margarita Day is this Saturday, February 22nd, and what better way to celebrate than visiting a couple of these spots for this special occasion? DC is filled with Mexican and Tex-Mex-themed bars who are more than happy to pour you a margarita!

Alero (3500 Connecticut Ave NW)
This U Street spot has 15 types of margarita available by the glass, half pitcher, and pitcher. During happy hour, a house margarita with Jose Cuervo is $5.50.

Cactus Cantina (3300 Wisconsin Ave NW)
This large Tex-Mex restaurant by the Cathedral has margaritas flavored with mango, peach, and strawberry. Combine them to create a margarita “swirl.” These treats are available by the glass, half pitcher, or whole pitcher

Casa Oaxaca (2106 18th St NW)
Head to Adams Morgan because they'll be celebrating National Margarita Day properly. Many have voted their margaritas the best in DC but that's for you to decide.

Rosa Mexicano (575 7th St NW)
At its two local outposts (Penn Quarter and Chevy Chase), Rosa Mexicano offers specialty margaritas sweetened with organic agave. Try the frozen pomegranate margarita, with pomegranate and lime juices. Their guacamole is considered the best in the city!

Tortilla Coast (400 First St SE)
They offer extensive margarita menus in frozen and liquid form. Happy hour in Logan Circle happens from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM, Capitol Hill 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM and features a classic and a frozen margarita.
