The margarita is one of the simplest mixed drinks to make, yet it is one of the most popular. All you need is a perfect mixture of tequila, Cointreau or Triple Sec, and lime juice and you are ready to roll.
Speaking of rolling, if you happen to live by one of the many Margaritaville restaurants today you can get some first-hand advice on how to create the perfect margarita. Most people make their margaritas this way - 5 fluid ounces tequila, 3 fluid ounces triple sec and 2 (6 ounce) cans frozen limeade concentrate. Personally I prefer fresh limes, but those are the three main ingredients. That doesn't mean you can't get a lot more creative with this drink favorite.
Margaritaville.com reported on Feb. 21 that you can earn your own honorary drink degree (majoring in Margaritas of course) while taking Margaritaville’s “Margarita Mixology Class.” If you want to learn how the pros do it, and of course earn your degree, make sure you are arrive early as class runs from 3-4 p.m.
There will also be a world class toast to celebrate National Margarita Day at 5:00 p.m.
