This month is National Hobby month, and even though the weather might make you less than motivated, it's the best time when it comes to dating to go out. What better way to find someone than participating in an activity that you enjoy. And if you live in NYC, there's no shortage of things to get involved with.
If you're into fitness and well being, join a new gym, try a new workout routine, join a class like yoga or boxing or if you're a runner, run a different route.
Trying different forms of a hobby will bring new people into your life. The more people you meet, male or female, the more chances you have to connect with someone romantically.
You're not going to meet that special someone being a couch potato. You have to put in some of the initial groundwork.
Take a few minutes and jot down some of your hobbies. No matter how silly you think they might be, hobbies are an extinction of who you are. They give people an invitation into the type of person you are and what you fill your free time with. They are also great conversation starters.
And the beginning of any relationship starts with a simple conversation. Do yourself a favor and take care of half of the leg work. Your hobby could turn into a, "this is how we met," story. How cool would that be?
