National Heart Month

Triglycerides, also known as bad cholesterol, play a major role in heart disease. Since February is National Heart Month, it is important to take the time to get your cholesterol checked and begin a moderate workout routine.

Moderate paced exercise for 30 minutes - progressing to 60 minutes four or more times a week is a great way to begin. It is important to take part in large muscle activities like swimming, walking, or jogging. Participating in these types of exercises will help reduce triglyceride levels, reduce weight, and create a more healthy and active life.

It is important to urge everyone to join the battle against heart disease. For more information on how you can help check out: http://www.americanheart.org
