According to the National Headache Foundation, an estimated 45 million Americans suffer from chronic headaches.

There are several different types of chronic headaches, including tension-type headaches, migraine headaches, medication overuse headaches, sinus headaches, and cluster headaches.

Depending on the type of headache, there are specific precipitating factors, symptoms, treatment options, and prevention options.

The National Headache Foundation (NHF) is an excellent educational resource for headache information:

"Our comprehensive website (www.headaches.org), publications, award-winning newsletter, and toll-free hotline are combined with a nationwide network of support groups to provide answers and encouragement for people who share the diagnosis of headache and need the tools to improve and better manage their headaches” - NHF

Check out the NHF website for more in-depth information on over 24 different types of headaches, or become a member to gain access to even more helpful resources.
