May is National Hamburger Month and barbecue month. How delicious is that combination? The smell of the charcoal just makes your mouth water.
Nothing beats a juicy hamburger! Hamburgers started the end of the 19th century and early 20th century. Add cheese, tomato, lettuce and ketsup and you are good to go. Gourmet burgers are excellent as well with a sunny side up egg.
Then there are the buns! Do you like your hamburger buns toasted or not toasted? Sesame seeds or no seeds at all? So many decisions just make your taste buds do a dance!
My burger recommendations are the Iron Hill and Red Robbin. Iron Hill is celebrating hamburger month all of May. Stop in and try one.
Barbecue is a spring and summer delight. You know when you get home and someone in the neighborhood is barbecuing. The possibilities of barbecuing is completely endless. Corn on the cob, barbecue chicken, steak, hamburgers and fish are all possibilities. Even use the heat from the grill to warm marshmallows for s'mores.
