But did you ever stop to wonder exactly that tuna that is so good for you made its way into those little cans on your grocery shelf?

Wicked Tuna: North vs. South

National Geographic, Wicked Tuna: North vs. South, a new TV series set to premiere Sunday August 17 is a spinoff of the highly popular 'Wicked Tuna' series. Wicked Tuna: North vs. South pits Gloucester, Massachusetts’ finest fishermen against a new group of captains from North Carolina’s Outer Banks. After a disappointing bluefin tuna season in Massachusetts, the northern captains of Gloucester attempt to salvage their finances by casting their lines along the coast of North Carolina, where the bluefin tuna season is just kicking off. Conflicts arises during bluefin tuna season in North Carolina's Outer Banks as Gloucester top fishermen and their fleets sweep in to grab their share of the tuna quota against the local fishermen and their fleets.Finding themselves in new territory the northern captains of Gloucester must conquer new styles of fishing, treacherous waters and the wrath of the very protective southern captains as they attempt to reel in some 'monstah' fish. Meanwhile the southern captains fight to maintain their exclusivity in the waters that their families have fished for generations and know the treacherous waters of so well. With the thought of what lies at stake knowing that every captain out there has got mouths to feed, the only lines that won't be crossed are the ones they put in the water. It’s an all out free-for-all competition to reel in tuna and rake in dough as both the northern and southern boat crews will do anything to get their share of the elusive bluefin tuna.

Once you see what these fishermen from the north and the south go through, you'll appreciate your tuna even that much more! Can't wait until tomorrow for the show's premiere?
