National Forest planning rule committee plans three-day public meeting

The National Advisory Committee for Implementation of the National Forest System Land Management Planning Rule has scheduled a three-day meeting in Sacramento, California. The US Forest Service (USFS) is announcing the meeting in the Federal Register of Monday, Feb. 24.

The public can attend in person or listen in via webinar. The meeting takes place on Wednesday, March 5 and Thursday, March 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time and on Friday, March 7, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The meeting goes on at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento, 1209 L St., Sacramento, CA 95814.

People may also send written comments.

The tentative agenda:

  • A work plan
  • Smaller work group findings
  • Administrative tasks.

The 21-member committee was formed to advise USFS on implementing its planning rule.
