As the weather in New England and other parts of the country is often unbearable during the winter months, many people lose the motivation to stick to their daily fitness routines. To try and stay motivated, many people make the same old New Year's Resolutions, whether it is to lose weight or eat healthier. However, losing weight is not only the most common New Year's resolution, but it is also the most commonly broken one.

Why did you want to start the challenge?
I wanted to start the challenge to affect North America’s economy, health, and creativity. Positive change for a nation happens one person at a time, but in order to engage each person, I felt starting a challenge larger than any one person would affect passion and commitment. People don't need another exercise plan or diet. They need to take consistent action and that is what the 52 Million Pound Challenge will help people do. Instead of sitting back and complaining about what the government is doing in health care, what the medical profession is doing for health, or the wacky ways the health and fitness industry try to help, I thought I would actually do something to help transform people's lives.
What is the ultimate goal of the 52 Million Pound Challenge?
The ultimate goal of the 52 Million Pound Challenge is to have millions of people, lose millions of pounds and become healthier, stronger and more vibrant! This in turn will affect the individual, the family, the community, the economy, health care and the world. We want this site to be the number one health, fitness and lifestyle resource for individuals, corporations, organizations and the media to go to for inspiration and information to help with our nation’s transformation.
What resources are available for challenge participants?
The resources available through the 52 Million Pound Challenge aren't just for participants, they are for everyone. We have top fitness authors posting new articles every day and a weekly radio show.
