Those brainy and offbeat guys from the National Film Society, filmmakers Patrick Epino and Stephen Dypiangco, (who work with PBS Digital Studios) will be at this year's SXSW Film Conference sharing how they built their own media brand from scratch, using collaborations as a key strategy to growth and legitimacy.

The duo will discuss how they tapped their friends, contacts and creativity to establish the National Film Society, and offer their tips on setting up successful ongoing collaborations at SXSW on Monday, March 10 in Austin, TX.

Fans in attendance at SXSW, can catch the National Film Society duo live at the Driskill Hotel in the Maximillian Room.

The guys from National Film Society have also produced a new action comedy web series entitled "Awesome Asian Bad Guys!" premiering at CAAMFest on March 20 and 21 in San Francisco.

According the website, the duo grew up in the 80’s and 90’s watching hard-hitting Asian bad guys in flicks like "Die Hard," "Bloodsport," and "Karate Kid 2" which inspired them to make the web series.

"These badasses were often cooler than the heroes they fought, but they’d usually have a two-minute lifespan before they were mortally wounded or beat to a pulp. It really sucked that you barely saw them on screen and rarely got to know them. So we’ve decided to expand upon this largely-ignored slice of pop culture history with Awesome Asian Bad Guys!"
