National Face Your Fears Day - October 13, 2009

People love to hate their fears. They don't like being afraid of things and yet, they rarely do anything about their fears. National Face your Fears Day is the day to take back some control over your life and attempt to get rid of some of those fears. This day was designed to help people confront their fears; instead of letting those fears get the best of them.

National Face Your Fears Day creator Steve Hughes adds, "Psychologists report that facing your fears and overcoming them gives you self-confidence, a sense of accomplishment and the resolve to face other obstacles in your life. It's an empowering experience."

Face Your Fears Today website will help you take action with a wealth of resources and ideas to help you combat your fears. The website lists simple exercises and ideas to help you on your journey. They’ve also created a fun A-Z list of the most common fears.
