
Hi tech Corvette driving simulators coming to NCM
Two high-tech driving simulators are coming soon to the National Corvette Museum.
The funding mechanism for the driving simulators is the Warren County Fiscal court where the National Corvette Museum is located.
The officials approved a $214,700 bid from Virage Simulation, a Montreal, Canada firm for the simulators.
Two simulators will be purchased. Each will have a car seat an full replication of controls with a variety of road conditions and vibration.
Three 52 inch screens will give the impression of 180 degree view using peripheral vision coming into use.
“A full set of visual scenes reproduces city, highway, industrial, farm land and mountain environments,”
is how the bid quotation describe the system.
