Good morning coffee drinkers! Today is National Coffee Day, and for those who regularly wake up to a cup of Joe, you are certainly not alone. Eighty three percent of Americans have a love for coffee, says the National Coffee Association, and if you’re looking for a free cup of your favorite drink, today is the day to belly up to the barista, as there is some free coffee action in celebration of the day.
The Los Angeles Times today listed some free coffee spots and the top 10 American cafes. Here’s where you can find those complimentary cups:
Tim Hortons: The coffee giant is giving out a free coffee with another coffee purchase. Just say “Happy National Coffee Day” and get your free coffee.
Caribou Coffee: Participating Caribou Coffee stores are giving out free coffee. In order to take advantage, download and print a special National Coffee Day coupon from Facebook, or show them the coupon on your cell or tablet.
Dunkin’ Donuts: Use the Dunkin’ Donuts mobile app which entitles you to a free small coffee, hot or iced. They also are offering some nice discounts on K-Cups and home brews.
International Delight Creamer: If you like the flavored creamers, score some free International Delight Creamer by visiting their Facebook page.
Krispy Kreme: Krispy Kreme is getting in on the action with a free coffee and is also offering a chance to keep the freebies coming: Win free coffee for a year. From Krispy Kreme’s giveaway page: “In addition to our National Coffee Day 12 oz. cup giveaway in our retail shops on September 29, a dozen fans will win a free large cup of coffee every week for a year and a travel mug as part of our coffee-lover celebration.”
Starbucks: Participating locations are rolling out free tastings of a special Ethiopian blend. If you purchase a bag of the blend, you’ll receive a “complimentary Ethiopian-inspired commemorative ceramic cup.”
