Today is National Boss day 2010. Now we all know sucking up to the boss is essential. It takes a good employee to find free printable boss's day cards, print them out and just hand it over. It is what America calls dedication to the paycheck and frankly that is just how life rolls.
Who secretly isn't thinking about Johnny Paycheck right now? The Anthem for how most American feel about their job. The chance to just blurt out 'Take this job and shove it' to the boss. A glance right in the eyes with a smirk to boot? Yes, we all think about it at least one day of the year and that is why we have to do the card. To repent those terrible feelings of guilt for hiding what we really think about the bossman and all his glory.
Released in 1976, 'Take this Job and Shove it' is the song that millions hum while singing those cards and then giving the boss a smile. Yes, the smile is for the boss, but not for the right reasons.
