Natalie Merchant's rescheduled tour dates announced

In a press release sent out yesterday, the new tour dates for Natalie Merchant's postponed U.S. tour were announced. The "Carnival" singer, postponed her summer tour due to illness. Now the summer tour will be a fall one.

With the release of her self-titled new album in February, Merchant has released six solo albums since leaving 10,000 Maniacs. It also marks thirteen years since she has released an album of completely new and original songs. Merchant produced the new album herself, with a mix of accomplished musicians and vocalists for backing. Including John Medeski, Corliss Stafford, Gabriel Gordon, and Jesse Murphy. The album debuted at number two on the Billboard Folk Albums chart, and received positive reviews. After decades of experience in the music industry she continues to grow and share that growth with her fans.

Fans may have to wait a little bit longer to see Merchant live again, but fall is a better season for her music anyway. The new tour dates, including her reschedule Washington D.C. date, are below. Tickets for the previous dates will be honored for the new dates.
