Nason and Rebar dominate on the mound in Eagles sweep over Thomas

BANGOR-- The Husson university Eagles baseball team did not allow any runs in 14 innings as they swept Thomas college in a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon.

Tim Nason pitched a five hitter to lead the Eagles to a 6-0 game one victory. Nason only needed 80 pitches to get through his seven innings on the mound.

Pat Thibodeau had three hits and four RBI to power the Eagles offense. J.T. Whitten also had three hits and one RBI.Cody McInnis scored three runs.

Ryan Rebar allowed only three hits in five scoreless innings in the Eagles 10-0 game two victory. Rebar walked two and struck out two.Rebar has not allowed any runs and only given up four hits in his first 11 innings as a collegiate pitcher.

Evan Pelkey and Kyle McLain each pitched a scoreless inning of relief. McLain struck out two to close out the game.

Dylan Foster, Kyle Bishop, Thibodeau, and McInnis had two hits each to power the offense in the game two victory.

Josh Gaudette had three RBI. Bishop and Andrew Curran finished with two RBI each. Foster scored three runs from the leadoff spot.

The Eagles will play their next seven games on the road. Husson (10-8) will start that stretch when they travel to Gorham for a contest with the University of Southern Maine on Thursday afternoon.

Husson will carry a 7-4 conference record into a four game weekend series with Colby-Sawyer. The Eagles return home on April 18th, when they host UMF..
