Many folks in and about Nashville may complain about the time change this weekend, which is when we 'fall back' to our 'normal' time and regain the extra hour of time which we lost in the spring this year, when we did the 'spring forward' thing. No matter if you love it or hate it, it does seem the Daylight Saving Time is here to stay, and has been effective in the United States since about 1918.
We almost always grumble a bit in the springtime when Daylight Savings Time goes into effect, but it does not take long for us to adjust to it, enjoying the extra daylight hours as spring runs into summertime and so many seasonal events are held outside with it still being light enough for us to see our hands in front of our faces.
The attached video about 'Why We Have Daylight Saving Time' gives us some detail about the nature of this event and how it came into being. We are looking forward to sleeping an extra hour on Sunday morning, after we set our clocks to the right time at 2 a.m. on November 3rd.
From 2 a.m. roll your clock back 1 hour to 1 a.m. Wake Up! It is time to change our clocks for Daylight Saving Time!
