“Nashville” won’t return for a couple of weeks but when it does, “They Don’t Make ‘Em Like My Daddy Anymore” promises to be a real nail biter. On Feb. 10, Spoiler TV shared the press release from ABC about the show. Check it out but be warned, it may contain spoilers.
“They Don’t Make ‘Em Like My Daddy Anymore” – Juliette’s new song, “Don’t Put Dirt on My Grave Just Yet,” catches the ear of a high-powered, hit-making producer, Howie V (Michael Chernus, “Orange is the New Black”). He wants to make her a superstar and brings her to Los Angeles to record, but marginalizes Glenn in the process. Meanwhile, Rayna takes charge with stoicism in the aftermath of recent events, and Scarlett feels lost and alone but finds Liam to be a receptive confidante, on “Nashville,”
Juliette sang that song at her Grand Ole Opry induction as a way of irritating her record label and the fans who were upset with her recent behavior. It’s good to see someone else interested in her but what happens to Glen may not be so good.
“Rayna Takes Charge”
Rayna learned that her father had been involved in her mother’s death, though maybe not in the way her sister Tandy thought. She also learned Tandy had been prepared to testify against their father but backed out at the last minute. Will she also find out that her ex-husband, Teddy Conrad, stood by and watched while Lamar had a heart attack in Teddy’s office and did nothing to help him?
“Scarlett feels lost”
Scarlett should feel lost after leaning on pills given to her by Liam to help her get through the tough schedule she’s been keeping. Will Liam end up being a good confidante or not?
“They Don’t Make ‘Em Like My Daddy Anymore” will air on Wednesday, Feb. 26 when “Nashville” returns on ABC.
