Nashville's J.T. Hodges hopes video campaign helps his ACM New Artist odds

Fort Worth-born and Nashville-based J.T. Hodges has released the latest in a series of campaign videos in his quest to become a final nominee in the Academy of Country Music Awards' New Artist category.

Although many music fans assuredly do know Hodges’ sound and name well, the singer-songwriter's national-name recognition is still growing within the greater sphere of fans who favor commercial-country, and the talented artist is doing his part to become a household word when it comes to ACM voters.

The Show Dog-Universal Music artist's campaign slogan, “Who Is J.T. Hodges,” is carried through and answered in this third and latest ACM-focused video, which was directed by Marcel. (See the video embedded on the left side of this post to eye this video installment of the campaign.)

“Working with Marcel on these videos has been a blast and I am so grateful to the country music fans for letting me give them a little peak into who I am,” Hodges has said. “Our point was to just have some fun with these videos, and get everyone to smile a little bit.”

The eight semifinalists for the ACM’s New Artist of the year recently were announced. The 2012 ACM Awards, with co-hosts Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton, will be broadcast live from Vegas on April 1.

Hodges burst onto the country music scene in 2011 with the release of his debut single, “Hunt You Down,” and a slot on Toby Keith’s Locked & Loaded Tour Presented By Ford F-Series. “Goodbyes Made You Mine,” the follow-up single from Hodges' soon-to-be-released CD, has just been sent to country radio, with a Feb. 13 impact date.
