Looking outside today shows us that frost is on the ground and ice on the cars in the driveway in Nashville and around the surrounding area. We have had only one snow of any mention to this point of our wintertime here in Middle Tennessee. That snow accumulated to about one inch in our area and did cause the closure of schools for a day, much to the delight of the school children in the area.
With the unusual weather of temperatures in the 70's here only a week or so ago, followed by tornadic storms, winds and heavy rains in the days leading up to Christmas, we've experienced both hot and cold weather here in the mid-state area along with our Christmas turkey and ham and presents underneath the Christmas tree.
How's the weather in your own neck of the country? We've seen reports of heavy snowstorms in the eastern part of the United States, with snowdrifts piled high and we are not envious at all. The one thing you can count on in the Nashville area is that if you don't like the weather here, stick around and it will soon change!
