Nashville City Civitan Club to celebrate Clergy Day with Col. Allen Withers

The Nashville City Civitan Club will celebrate Clergy Day on Wed., Feb. 6 at their regular luncheon meeting at Swett's Restaurant in West Nashville. The meeting will begin at 11:30 am.

The Clergy Day speaker will be Chaplain, Colonel, Allen Withers (ret.), Staff Chaplain, 22nd Air Force. Withers was born in Nashville and grew up attending Hermitage First Baptist Church. He attended Middle Tennessee State University and later joined the Air Force. He has been a Hospice chaplain in the Nashville area with Alive Hospice since 1996 and has served for years with the Air Force Reserve as the staff chaplain for the 22nd Air Force. He is the senior chaplain at Dobbins Air Force Base in Atlanta.
