Nashua Police arrested a local woman on Thursday, January 24, 2013, charging her with two felony domestic violence charges after she allegedly cut a man whom she knows with a knife.
According to a press release by the Nashua Police Department, Jill Lapierre, 33, of 5 Oak Street, Apt. A, was charged with the class B felony, Domestic Violence - Second Degree Assault, which is punishable by imprisonment for up to seven years in the state prison in addition to fines. She was also charged with the class B felony, Domestic Violence - Criminal Threatening, which also is punishable by imprisonment for up to seven years in the state prison in addition to fines.
Police said the department received a report from a man at approximately 4:34 p.m. that Lapierre had threatened him with a knife. The man further told police that a brief physical altercation with Lapierre ensued, during which his hand sustained a minor cut with the knife.
Detectives of the Nashua Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit furthered the investigation resulting in the two felony charges against Lapierre. She was arrested by patrol officers at about 4:58 p.m.
Bail was set at $10,000 cash or surety pending her January 25, 2013 arraignment at the 9th Circuit-Nashua District Division-Court.
