According to a press release by the Nashua Police Department on Wednesday, patrol officers arrested a Nashua resident on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, on an arrest warrant for an alleged sexual assault upon a minor female that occurred in late December of 2013.
Robert Emmons, 55, of 23 Temple Street, Nashua is charged with three counts of the Class A felony, Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault, which is punishable by imprisonment for 10 to 20 years in the state prison for each count in addition to fines.
The release stated, the Nashua Police Department received a report of a sexual assault involving Emmons in late December of 2013. The department’s Special Investigations Division conducted an investigation, which revealed that Emmons sexually assaulted a juvenile female under the age of 13, who was known to him, at a residence in Nashua. An arrest warrant for Emmons was obtained on January 10th, 2014.
At approximately 2:17 p.m., Emmons was arrested at 48 Chestnut Street, Nashua. Two additional counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault were also brought forward.
Emmons was held on $100,000 cash only bail pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit-District Division-Nashua Court.
