According to TSN, New York Rangers winger and Canadian Olympian Rick Nash of Brampton, Ontario has had no problems finding the back of the net in January. As of Wednesday, Nash has scored 11 goals in his last 10 games.
Nash now leads the Rangers with 18 goals and is fourth in the National Hockey League with six game winning goals. The Rangers are also 9-4-1 in the month of January and have moved into second place in the tight Metropolitan Division.
Nash missed 17 games earlier this season with a concussion, and when Team Canada management announced Nash would make Team Canada, there was a significant number of questions raised as to why he was on the team when he was struggling as much as he was at the beginning of the year.
However Nash is not just hot, he could be considered the hottest goal producing forward heading into the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. Canada's first Olympic men's hockey contest is February 13 against Norway.
