Throughout the decade, we witnessed some intense racing, which of course, led to some bruised egos and hot tempers. Take a trip down memory lane and you will see some of the most memorable confrontations over the past ten years. There were so many to choose from, as you can tell by the honorable mentions.
10. Joe Nemechek versus Kevin Harvick, 2005 All-Star race at Charlotte
Nemechek had already angered the fiery Harvick with some critical comments at Daytona three months earlier. Even though the wreck was neither driver's fault, it gave Harvick an excuse to get in Nemechek's face.
9. Kevin Harvick versus Ricky Rudd, 2003 Chevy Rock & Roll 400 at Richmond
Trust me, this is not the first nor last Harvick clip. This time, it was Rudd who ruffled Happy's feathers.
8. Robby Gordon versus Michael Waltrip, 2005 New Hampshire 300 at Loudon
Gordon and Waltrip provided the most humerous confrontation of the decade.
7. Carl Edwards versus Matt Kenseth, 2007 Subway 500 at Martinsville
Roush Fenway Racing teammates Edwards and Kenseth faced off in one of the more bizarre confrontations of the decade.
6. Tony Stewart versus Jeff Gordon, 2000 Watkins Glen
Stewart ran Gordon into the wall early in the race, ending his chances at a solid finish. Gordon clearly did not appreciate Stewart's driving tactics. This set the stage for another confrontation at Bristol in 2001.
