A must-see attraction for any NASCAR fan visiting the Charlotte, North Carolina area is the NASCAR Hall of Fame in uptown Charlotte, but now the Hall’s website can help you plan your Charlotte vacation – just visit the “Charlotte Vacations” page at www.nascarhall.com.
The page is broken down into categories, including how to get there, restaurants, hotels, motorsports attractions and a look at the Racing Insiders Tour. The Insiders Tour is an all-access tour that begins at the Hall of Fame with the History of NASCAR movie, exploration of the Hall and lunch. Visitors then hop on a motor coach to visit some of the shops in the area. There are currently two tours available: Tour 77 includes stops at Joe Gibbs Racing, Team Penske and Michael Waltrip Racing, while Tour 85 stops at Stewart-Haas Racing, Roush Fenway Racing and Hendrick Motorsports. All tours run from 9:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost for the tour is $90 for adults, $80 for children 5 to 12 and $70 for NASCAR Hall of Fame members (plus taxes and fees); advanced purchases include free parking in the Hall’s parking garage. A list of tour dates can be found here.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame is currently highlighting the limited run exhibit Rockin’ and Racin’, featuring NASCAR’s connection to music of all kinds. Find out more about the NASCAR Hall of Fame and its exhibits at www.nascarhall.com.
