The Kobalt 400 has been held annually since 1998. I've listed all the NASCAR drivers who have won the Kobalt 400 at least twice.
This race has had other sponsors since 1998, including Chrysler, CarsDirect, and Shelby American. Kobalt, which is the name of Lowe's in-house brand of tools, has sponsored the race since 2011.
The favorite to win the Kobalt 400 in 2014 is Jimmie Johnson, at 7-1 odds, followed by Kevin Harvick and Matt Kenseth at 15-2. Two of those three drivers are on this list. Dale Earnhardt, Jr., is 8-1 odds to win the Kobalt 400, a race Earnhardt, Jr., has never won.
NASCAR drivers with most wins in the Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
1. Jimmie Johnson - 4 wins
Jimmie Johnson holds the record for the most wins at the Kobalt 400 with four. Jimmie Johnson won the race for three consecutive years from 2005 to 2007, and he also won here in 2010.
The three wins in a row is also the record for the most wins in a row at the Kobalt 400.
2. Matt Kenseth - 3 wins
Wisconsin born Matt Kenseth has won the Kobalt 400 the second most times with three wins. Matt Kenseth is the defending Kobalt 400 champ, having won the race in 2013. Kenseth also recorded wins here in back-to-back years in 2003 and 2004.
T-3. Carl Edwards - 2 wins
Missouri born Carl Edwards won the Kobalt 400 in 2008 and 2011. If Carl Edwards wins the Kobalt 400 in 2014, watch for him to do his back-flip move off his car at the finish line.
T-3. Jeff Burton - 2 wins
Jeff Burton won the Kobalt 400 in back-to-back years in 1999 and 2000. Jeff Burton is making his first start of the 2014 NASCAR season at the Kobalt 400 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this week.
Burton, who has 21 career Cup wins, is only racing part-time this season for Michael Waltrip Racing. He's also announcing at some NASCAR races for NBC Sports this year.
