NASCAR: Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan opportunity at 2014 Watkins Glen Cheez-It 355

Dale Earnhardt Jr., who drives the #88 National Guard Chevrolet in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series, will be available to answer questions from racing enthusiasts at a fan opportunity at the Cheez-It 355 at The Glen August 8 - 10. The announcement was made via press release from Watkins Glen International on Wednesday, July 16.

According to WGI, Earnhardt will do a Q&A with fans at the Turn 1 Tavern on Sunday, August 10, the day of the featured Cheez-It 355 at The Glen race.

Next to the towering Seneca Grandstand, the Turn 1 Tavern is a covered hospitality area located trackside, just outside the circuit’s first turn. Fans who purchase a Turn 1 Tavern hospitality admission ticket will have the opportunity to participate in the Q&A session.

The Turn 1 Tavern ticket will also cover food and beverages at a discounted rate for the weekend, along with a complimentary buffet lunch on both Saturday and Sunday. The Turn 1 Tavern ticket gives fans covered trackside viewing Friday through Sunday and costs $75. in addition to gate admission.

WGI also notes in the release, "Driver participation is subject to change and without notice. Neither NASCAR nor any of its affiliates are sponsors of this promotion."

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is currently second to Jeff Gordon in the driver NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship standings. Earnhardt has 658 points to Gordon's 670. Earnhardt has won two races so far this season -- the Daytona 500 and the Pocono 400.
